The College of Plant Science and Technology is of long history.Dating back to Hubei Agriculture School,set up in Qing Dynasty by Viceroy Zhang Zhidong in 1898.

During the process of adaption between faculties and subjects ,former Department of Agronomy and Plant Protection combined in 2002,establishing College of Plant Science and Technology.
